Relay for Life of Hampton Roads
On June 1, 2018, Eastern Virginia Ear, Nose & Throat Specialists participated in Relay for Life of Hampton Roads at Chesapeake City Park. This is a team fundraising event where team members take turns walking around the track.
Everyone has been touched in some way by cancer. Our staff came together this year to help to not only fight this disease, but to also assist those currently undergoing treatment and who need assistance.
Our fundraising efforts throughout this past year included our staff’s participation in a basket raffle, a soup cook-off, a salad bar fundraiser, decorating water bottles for change collection, and a $2 “fee” to wear jeans to work on Fridays.
We continued to fundraise at the June 1 event with a gift-card basket raffle and a spinning wheel for a prize.
Eastern Virginia Ear, Nose & Throat Specialists realizes the importance of this community event, and offered to match all funds that were raised by the staff. We are proud to announce that we were able to raise $4,109.38 for Relay this year!
